Hiromi Svetlikov
One of my first memories of my childhood is my grandfather back in Japan. He would sit endlessly in front of this little tree in this studio that he created for his Satsuki bonsai.
I remember feeling extremely puzzled but intrigued as to why he would sit for hours in front of this little plant, talking to it, caring for it and nurturing it. It took me until my adulthood to really comprehend the depth of his adoration and passion for his trees. I only understand now because I began to recognize that we share the same passion.
I have 12 years of experience working in the flower industry and Started my own studio called "Flowers by Hiromi" . I began to notice that every flower had its own face and different character, just like people. I also studied the "Ohara" style of Ikebana for many years in Japan which is very evident in my arrangements. My style is a very unique melange of western, French , contemporary ,and Japanese design. I have extensive experience making floral arrangements and bouquets for all occasions from weddings, graduations, banquets and special events. I also love to incorporate jewellery designs into the flower arrangements to add a unique flare.
I have worked through the night with little or no sleep for special orders but when I see the gratitude and appreciation in people's eyes it all becomes worth it and I know that this is what I was meant to do. I also joined the Japan Bonsai Floral team, I felt that I found the missing piece of the puzzle. This was somewhere I could really extend my artistic wings and create and design beautiful pieces of Floral art.
